"Non Profits in the Age of Obama"

A conversation with Ruth McCambridge, Editor-In-Chief of "Non Profit Quarterly"

Please be our guest for a special conversation with Ruth McCambridge, Editor in Chief of Nonprofit Quarterly. As communities and non profits in East Arkansas work to blaze a new and prosperous path, it's important to be understand how we are impacted by Federal policies.

Ruth McCambridge transformed the Nonprofit Quarterly into a national journal in 1999. Her background includes 35 years of experience in nonprofits, primarily in organizations that mix grassroots community work with policy change. Beginning in the late 1990s McCambridge spent a decade at the Boston Foundation developing and implementing its diverse capacity building programs. She has spoken and published extensively on nonprofit management and governance. For more information on the Nonprofit Quarterly, click here.

In a recent editorial in Nonprofit Quarterly, McCambridge wrote, "As always, there are a thousand moving pieces which can get shaped/warped/hijacked in a hundred different ways as they pass through the hands of lawmakers, intermediaries, state administrations, and agencies. So a "just the facts, ma'am" approach to understanding the first Obama Budget does not work any more than it did with the Bush Budgets."

Please join us this Thursday afternoon as Ms. McCambridge shares information about the Obama Administrations budget and policies and how they can and will impact our efforts in East Arkansas.
